The North Idaho Fair & Rodeo Foundation is happy to announce that for the first time ever it has established a $60,000 Endowment Fund in 2019. That endowment fund is growing every day to help the Kootenai County Fairgrounds maintain and grow its grounds.
According to Mary LuAnn Larson, (2017 - 2019 President) who spearheaded this mission during her presidency, “Creating and funding this Endowment has been a dream of the Fair Foundation since its inception. Thanks to the dedication of the current board, and the generosity of many donors, we have been able to achieve this goal.”
Katie Bane, long time board member and Past President (2016), said “sufficient savings and liquidity beyond the endowment fund to support the Foundation’s current giving plans has now been attained”.
The team of Dave Paul, Dave Nussear, Kevin Kirking, Katie Bane and Mary LuAnn Larson, current and past board members, are largely to thank for making this goal a reality through much time, effort, education, and persistence. Additionally, Dave Holloway, Northern Capital Management provided much needed professional advice and direction.
The North Idaho Fair & Rodeo Foundation’s mission is to raise funds for capital improvements at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds and provide educational opportunities for area youth.
